Barcelona is always a vibrant city, but this week, it buzzed with even more energy as the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) trade show took over. For Cives, this trip was all about showcasing our Hybrid Collaboration Solution for boardrooms, city councils, and legislators – built in partnership with Televic and Cisco Webex. Seeing firsthand how our solution resonated with decision-makers and industry leaders was both exciting and validating. But ISE isn’t just about the tech – it’s about the people, the ideas, and the energy of an event that connects innovators from around the globe. Here’s a glimpse into my action-packed, inspiring, and occasionally beach-side week!
Televic was at the heart of my ISE experience. Their booth was like a beehive – constantly buzzing with energy, packed with people, and full of exciting conversations. I spent a lot of time there, and for good reason. Our hybrid solution with Televic and Webex was a key focus of my trip with Cives, and it was thrilling to see the interest it generated.
I had the pleasure of catching up with some incredible folks from Televic, many of whom I work with every week. The Managing Director was truly inspiring – a visionary leader whose passion for innovation and unwavering support for his team were evident in every conversation. Bruno, their Product Manager, once again impressed me with his depth of expertise and collaborative approach. Then there was Wes, their tech lead from the U.S., whose enthusiasm and technical brilliance never cease to amaze me. It was also fantastic to finally meet the UK and Ireland Sales Director, whose deep understanding of the market and dedication to fostering strong relationships really stood out. This group truly embodies what makes Televic such a standout team – working with them is always a privilege!
ISE isn’t just about the tech – it’s about the people. I had some fascinating conversations with sales leads from Shenzhen, China, who gave me valuable insights into their market. The international spirit of the event was infectious.
One standout moment was meeting the CEO of Ideal Systems, an Irishman based in Singapore who has built an empire spanning 14 countries across Asia. His journey was as compelling as his insights into the AV world. It’s not every day you meet someone who has successfully bridged so many cultural and business divides.
I also finally met with Kostas in person, the Head of AV for the European Chemical Agency, who I have the privilege of working with regularly. His deep industry knowledge, vast network, and approachable demeanor never fail to impress me. It’s always a pleasure collaborating with someone as insightful and well-connected as Kostas – he’s a true asset to every conversation and project.
ISE might have kept me busy, but I made sure to take a little time for myself. One of the highlights of my trip was a lively 5K run along the Barcelona beach early in the morning. There’s something about the combination of fresh sea air and exercise that sets you up perfectly for a long day of networking.
On the tech side, I also had the chance to chat with Creston and the folks from Arthur Holm, who build retractable in-room AV monitors. Their solutions are not just innovative but also beautifully designed – proof that tech can be functional and elegant at the same time.
A big part of my time at ISE was spent working and networking with the Cisco Webex team. They were incredible collaborators throughout the trip (as always), and it was great to see how our hybrid solution with Televic and Webex is poised to truly reshape the way businesses approach communication and collaboration.
ISE 2025 wasn’t just a business trip – it was an opportunity to connect with incredible people, learn about cutting-edge innovations, and even carve out a little time for myself in one of Europe’s most vibrant cities. From Televic’s bustling booth to early morning runs along the beach, every moment was rich with opportunity and inspiration.
And as I flew home, I couldn’t help but feel energized by the connections I made and the future of the hybrid solutions we’re building. Here’s to more events like ISE – where technology, ideas, and amazing people come together to create something truly special.
